Ipsen Inc has shipped a Titan Vacuum Furnace to Japan.
The furnace features a 1.9-bar nitrogen or argon internal quench system and a diffusion pump. It also has an energy-efficient graphite hot zone with shaped graphite heating elements capable of processing temperatures up to 2400ºF (1315ºC).
The unit has an 18" (457mm) wide x 18" high x 24" (610mm) deep work zone, and can handle loads up to 2000 lbs (907kg).
Titan’s control system supports 17 languages including Japanese, switches between imperial and metric units of measure, provides real time data acquisition, trending and archiving, and stores up to 1000 recipes.
Ipsen designs and manufactures thermal processing systems including vacuum heat treating equipment, atmosphere furnaces and advanced thermal process control systems.
